Yet again, conflict in the middle-east has exploded, like last summer. Coincidence? I think not.
However, I am here to propose a solution that Canada can very much take part in!
Problem: People blowing each other up in the middle-east
Possible Cause: Note that things always seem to get bad during the summer months. This leads me to believe the reason is simpler than any scholar believes: It’s Hot! Seriously, the heat from a Canadian summer enrages me and leaves me wanting to lash out. I just lack missiles to launch at everyone in my way. I can’t imagine what it’s like out in the desert regions.
Canada’s Solution: Open a Tim Hortons on the Gaza Strip. Serve Iced Cappuccinos to all. Everyone chills out and suddenly don’t feel like blowing everyone up.
Problem solved.
What the HELL was THAT?!?
…that’s all I have to say
Somehow I missed this…back in April, someone put up a post on the Ottawa Craigslist looking for folks who’ve been “racially discriminated by OC Transpo bus drivers.”
The author claims he’s doing a hidden camera investigation to show harassment and maltreatment by bus drivers.
Have I been missing something on my daily commute? Are black riders being forced to sit at the back again? While I’m not fan of local transit at all, I’m having trouble believing this is as widespread as the poster would like for his little “tv news magazine show.” Frankly, from what I’ve witnesses on buses, the drivers should do their own hidden camera investigation showing the behaviour of the riders, some of whom seem to think it’s their right to board at the back door and threaten the drivers with violence if they dare ask to see a transfer.
Or catch pretty much everyone on the bus following a play-off game. And speaking of play-offs, Ottawa! Play some bloody hockey already! It’s not bad calls or anything else the fans are blaming, it’s realizing that this isn’t street hockey and you need to actually PLAY THE GAME! Or else that cup is gonna be staying in Disneyland…or Disneyworld or whatever it is down there.
